ABOUT ME

I’m a biomedical engineer who likes figuring out how things work—and then building better ones. My work has taken me from sensors and physiological monitoring to neurotechnology and commercial medical devices.



Outside engineering, you’ll usually find me behind a camera, at a piano, or disappearing down whatever rabbit hole has caught my attention that week. All of it informs my engineering.

  • User-Driven K-Means Clustering for

    Diabetic Ulcer Image Segmentation

    via GUI

    Completed

    A K-means model for wound detection in

    medical images with a user-friendly GUI

    for pixel selection, combating lack in

    accuracy due to different lighting

    conditions of obtained images, achieved

    second place in the Medical Imaging

    Hackathon.

  • Hand Gesture Mapping Strain Sensor:

    Senior Capstone Project

    Completed

    Developed and validated stencil-printed

    carbon-black strain sensors for

    hand-gesture mapping and assistive

    human-machine interfaces. Took the

    system from sensor design and

    fabrication through signal acquisition,

    processing, and performance

    characterization.

  • Hybrid Neural Network for Detection

    and Classification of Pathological

    Episodes in Electrocardiographs

    Signals

    Completed

    Journal publication detailing a hybrid

    approach to neural networks for ECG

    classification, improving accuracy and

    robustness through dataset augmentation

    using Abnormal Beat Synthesis filters and

    advanced network design

  • Custom Sensor Array for Parameter

    Monitoring in Medical

    Applications (sciforum-107429)

    This project involves fabricating a cost-

    effective, CNT-based temperature sensor

    integrated with a GSR sensor for

    affordable, multi-parameter monitoring of

    stress and physiological status in medical

    and sports applications.

I’m obsessed with building good products—technology that solves real problems, works reliably, and is thoughtfully engineered from end to end. I want to execute ambitious, multidisciplinary projects at the cutting edge of medical technology and turn difficult ideas into systems that work outside a presentation or prototype demo.
My standard is simple: Understand the problem. Build, test, break, repeat. Chase excellence, but never let perfection become the enemy of progress.
